HBMF Announces Summer 2025 Season

The Honest Brook Music Festival resumes its annual festival of chamber music this summer with a stunning lineup of musicians beginning Saturday, July 12, and concluding Sunday, August 10. The Festival is observing its 36th anniversary this summer. All concerts are held at 4 p.m.in The Barn on the top of the hill on Honest Brook Road, Delhi, N.Y.

Cellist Anita Graef and pianist Nathan Canfield will open the season on July 12; followed by pianist Kiron Tellian on July 19; Trio Brillante on Sunday, August 3; and Cuarteto Latinoamericano on August 10. Graef has appeared both nationally and internationally in concerto, recital and chamber music engagements, establishing a reputation as an artist equally at home playing traditional and contemporary works.

Canfield is staff pianist at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music. He has also performed with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Chamber Music of Lincoln Center, as well as a rehearsal and recital pianist with ensembles throughout the United States.

Austrian pianist Tellian is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at The Juilliard School as a recipient of the Kovner Fellowship. He is the winner of countless first prizes at national and international competitions and last Fall won the Young Concert Artists auditions. This season’s highlights include recitals at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Viotti Festival, and the Vienna Musikverein.

Flutist Giorgio Consolati, pianist Hui-Chuan Chen, and cellist Natalia Vilchis comprise the Trio Brillante that will perform Sunday, August 3. Consolati studied with some of Itay’s foremost flutists. As a recipient of a Kovner Fellowship, he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Juilliard and is continuing his education for a doctorate at the Peabody Institute. He has performed at the Marlboro Music Festival, as well as the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, and he collaborates with contemporary composers, recording new works.

A native of Taiwan, Chen has collaborated and toured with celebrated soloists. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Peabody Conservatory, where she also teaches. She will record her first solo album this summer.

Cellist Vilchis has performed as a soloist with several Central and South American orchestras and in New York and Washington D.C. She recently participated in a recording of the album “Bach 6 with 4.”  Vilchis graduated with a Master’s Degree in violoncello performance and is pursuing a doctorate at Peabody.

Cuarteto Latinoamericano, for more than forty years one of the most renowned classical ensembles of Latin-American music, will perform on Sunday, August 10. The members are the three Bitran brothers–violinists Saul and Aran and cellist Alvaro; and violist Javier Montiel.

The quartet has toured extensively throughout the world, performing in such prestigious venues as the Teatro alla Scala, Carnegie Hall, and the Concertgebouw. They have also premiered many works written for them, as well as introduced new and neglected composers. They have also recorded many CDs and received numerous awards, including Chamber Music America/ASCAP’s “Most Adventurous Programming.”

Honest Brook Music Festival is located on Honest Brook Road outside of Delhi and two miles from the intersection with Route 28 North.

We issue no physical tickets and all seats must be reserved in advance. Seating is not assigned.
